Hey friends! Taking a break from social media has been a huge blessing! So much infact that I am actually planning to delete my personal profiles which means, I asked my sister Bethany to be an admin on this page so yall can still reference it for different tips and tricks I have posted.

There are lots of fun new flavors planned for this winter and lots of exciting news to share as we roll into 2026. This time away from Social Media has given me so much more time to spend with my family and devote to new things for the business as well. See ya every saturday at Downtown Farmers Market of Manhattan (Winter hours mean it starts at 9am now BUT... It also means I am bringing biscuits every week with that extra hour of prep time!)

I’ve been feeling led to step away from social media for a season. It’s far too easy to get distracted and lose precious time, and right now, I want to be more present where it matters most.

So—we’ll be taking a break from posting here for a while. Below you’ll find our upcoming menus along with details on how to get in touch if you’d like to preorder or stop by our booth at market.

We’ll miss sharing updates here, but we’re looking forward to seeing you face-to-face at market and connecting the old-fashioned way. Thank you for supporting us in this journey!

I’ve had several customers reach out to me asking about better ways to store their sourdough. One way is to use beeswax bread bags. Route Step Farm offers them at the Manhattan market every week. They have a booth on the east side of the market. If you’d like one be sure to stop by!

When it comes to scoring sourdough, your lame blade makes all the difference! A sharp blade = clean cuts and beautiful expansion. A dull blade drags through the dough, leaving you with less-than-great results.

👉 See the difference? The loaf on the left was scored right after I changed the blade — clean cuts, nice lift. The one on the right told on me… the blade dragged, and the dough didn’t spring like it should.

✨ Tip: Keep your lame blade sharp and swap it out regularly. Your loaves will thank you!
