✨ A small business moment I wanted to share… ✨

The last two weeks have been incredibly exciting here at Sugar Siren Tea Co.

I’ve packed and shipped 16 orders in the past two weeks, with 12 of those orders arriving in the last week alone.

Those orders have included loose-leaf teas, artisan sugar cubes, gift collections, and my new sugar cube flight boxes.

What amazes me most is where they’re going. From Washington, Oregon, Montana, Colorado, Nebraska, Arizona, Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey, Virginia, Massachusetts and the Bering Sea, Sugar Siren packages have been traveling all across the country.

This week also brought an exciting surprise: three sugar cube flight collections sold in just two days, including both the Dark Seas Collection and Botanical Collection flights.

As someone who spends most of my time at home due to chronic illness, it means more than I can express to see Sugar Siren reaching places I can’t.

Thank you to everyone who has ordered, shared, reviewed, encouraged, and supported this little business. Every package that leaves my door is a reminder that dreams can travel farther than we ever expect. 💜

Two weeks ago, I shared the story of a NOAA research vessel captain in Dutch Harbor, Alaska who discovered my little tea shop on Etsy while searching for a smoked tea blend.

From Florida… all the way to a NOAA research vessel in the Bering Sea. 🌊🖤

Sometimes running a tiny tea business from home feels surreal.

A customer recently found my shop on Etsy while searching for smoked tea after trying some in Seattle. Out of all the tea sellers online… he found Sugar Siren Tea Co. 🖤

He ordered my Emberwake Chai first — and now he’s ordered Velvet Smoked Sugar Tea too.

The incredible part?

He’s currently stationed aboard the NOAA research vessel Oscar Dyson out near Dutch Harbor, Alaska in the Aleutian Islands. He’s also a commissioned officer and research diver. 🌊⚓

So somewhere way out in the cold North Pacific, one of my little handcrafted tea blends is making its way onto a research vessel.

As a mom with a son interested in a diving career, and ocean exploration… hearing his story honestly blew my mind a little.

Moments like this make this whole journey feel so much bigger than “just tea.”

One of my favorite moments as a small business owner happened today. 💕

A customer who told me she was not a tea drinker — “I’m more of a coffee person” — stopped by my booth recently at the Market on Dearborn.

I handed her a sample bag of Smoke & Salt to smell and told her:

“This one is deep, smoky, rich… almost like a full-bodied coffee with warm cocoa notes.”

She smelled it and immediately said,
“Oh wow…”
…and bought a bag.

Today she texted me asking if I would be at any markets over the next couple of days because she wanted to buy two more bags — one for herself and one as a Mother’s Day gift for her daughter.

I wasn’t scheduled for any markets, so I had her come by the house instead.

When she walked in, she laughed and said:

“You converted me.” 😝

Honestly, that made my entire day.
