TODAY on the farm | the last load of apples came in from the field! We were very blessed with heavenly weather for the grand finale of the 2022 Harvest Season here at Friske’s! 🍎🙌🏼
While more and more of our apples get switched over to high density growing methods, pictured here is one of our oldest blocks of Ida Red apple trees - planted in 1977 and still going strong!

A few fun facts about the #cider operation at Friske Orchards! 🍏We began pressing cider in the 1960’s and to this day use a traditional rack & cloth cider press 🍎Approx 2,800 pounds of pressure per square inch squeezes ALL the juice out of the ground up apples - leaving just the “pulp” behind 🍏A single bushel of apples yields about 3 gallons of cider 🍎Our cider is Flash Pasteurized and Cold Pressed, using a secretly delicious blend of apple varieties 🍎A long day’s work gets us about 2,000 gallons of fresh-pressed delicious APPLE CIDER!!!
