If you didn’t watch my story, I decided to experiment with some cookie dough last night and add common Valley Girl ingredients: Orange zest, Orange extract, @shopilovechamoy Chamoy, and @tajinusa Tajin. Here’s a video of me taste testing them. Definitely worth trying!

Behind-the-scenes cookie footage: No matter how simple the design, making cookies is a process. As you can see, one order alone required 10 types of icing colors and consistencies. It requires patience, time, and in my case staying up late. When I’m done with my full-time job at 5 pm, I come home and “clock in” to my next job, baking - being a mom and college student are thrown in that mix as well. I’ve made sacrifices along the way like spending time with family and friends and missing daily runs here and there but knowing the cookies I’m creating is for special and happy moments in your life makes it worth my time. I don’t share this post for compassion, I share this post so you know when I take on your order, I take it on with excitement and love. I take it on knowing sometimes I’m going to have to stay up late to finish the work. So THANK YOU to all of you for your continued support, sharing my work, allowing me to play a small role in your life events, and calling me your “Cookie Lady”. It means the world.

How do I spend my Sunday as a small business owner? I make 12 batches of cookie dough to prep for the week! 🥚 12 eggs 🧈 24 sticks of unsalted butter 👩🏾‍🍳 36 cups of flour 👩🏾‍🍳 12 cups of granulated sugar 🧂 6 tablespoons of salt 👩🏾‍🍳 18 tablespoons of baking powder 👩🏾‍🍳 Tons of “eyeballing” on the Mexican vanilla AND lots of love! 🤍 Thanks for supporting my small business cottage bakery.

The greatest gift of all this year was coming together to bring back my Abuelita Sara’s tradition to life.

Extra thankful for my little turkey this year. She brings so much happiness and light into my life. Watching her grow and be curious about the world is the greatest gift of all. 💛

Life update that no one asked for 😅 I am officially a part time college student… AGAIN! I have started the Bachelor of Science in Geosciences with a concentration in Broadcast and Operational Meteorology at Mississippi State University. If you really know me, you know Meteorology is something I have loved since I was about 5. While other kids talked about the newest toy or game, I talked about weather and tracked my own storms during Hurricane Season. Tim Smith and Jim Cantore were my childhood idols and all I ever wanted to do was be just like them. I’ll still be working on cookies just taking on less orders to focus on my school work.
