I would like to address a recent post that has been shared about my business, Rere's Sweet Treats.
Several months ago, I had a customer who was dissatisfied with a cake order. I will be honest and admit that the cake was not my best work, and I take responsibility for that. Before accepting the order, I explained that I was newly operating from home and that the final product might not be perfect. I wanted to be transparent from the beginning and set realistic expectations.
The customer was sent a photo of the cake before pickup and did not express any concerns at that time. Payment was not made until the day the cake was needed.
When the customer later requested a refund, I did not ignore her or block her. I communicated with her and explained that I intended to refund her money. Before the situation could be resolved, she blocked me. My husband was also blocked, despite never contacting her.
I have been decorating cakes for over five years and have worked hard to develop my skills and build a business that I am proud of. I have photos and videos of my work, along with reviews, messages, and feedback from many satisfied customers who have trusted me with their cakes, cookies, and special occasions.
Like any business owner, I continue to learn and grow with every order. While I acknowledge that this particular order did not meet expectations, one order does not define my business, my character, or the quality of work I consistently strive to provide.
What I do not appreciate is seeing incomplete or inaccurate information being shared publicly. Everyone has the right to share their experience, but I believe the full story should be told.
To my loyal customers, friends, and family, thank you for your continued support, trust, and encouragement. Your reviews, recommendations, and kind words mean more than you know. I am grateful for every customer who has supported Rere's Sweet Treats throughout this journey.
I will continue working hard, improving my craft, and providing the best products and service possible.
Thank you for supporting Rere's Sweet Treats. ❤️
