🍂It's a short week for me this week and not gonna lie, I'm so ready for a mini break! The market season is winding down and it's time to shift into fall mode.....and I'm bringing the goodies.

✨✨New this week, Reese's Explosion and Salted Caramel Toffee Crunch. Both have a chocolate chip cookie base piled high with chopped candy and sweet glaze.

Last night, the Chicago Farmer show at Evergreen Farm Brewing was one for the books. I've never seen so many people on the farm at once.

You came hungry and needing a sweet treat, that's for sure! This is the first time that I have SOLD 👏🏻 OUT 👏🏻 entirely!👏🏻

Thank you to Evergreen for having us out. Thank you to White Oak Brewing for keeping us hydrated. Thank you Slow Hand Craft BBQ for sponsoring the Midwest Skies concert series. Thank you to John Till and Chicago Farmer for the excellent music.

Mostly, thank you to all of you who showed up, stood in the line that never ended, and bought all the food we had! When I saw that empty table at the end of the night, I overflowed with gratitude.

Hello Darlings,
It seems that my Bridgerton-inspired post from yesterday gathered a bunch of you here, in my little corner of the Internet.

So, I figured I should reshare a little bit about myself.

Long story short, I bake things.

I laugh loud.
I am a storyteller.
I fiercely include others.
I love the farmers market.
I appreciate great food (and drinks).
I'm not afraid to try new things.
I get restless when things become too familiar.
I am happy that you are here!

Dearest Gentle Reader,
I'm afraid that I have some startling news on this fair morning!

It seems that our beloved cottage baker has gotten herself into quite the conundrum. By selling over 100 cookies in the last two days, she found herself without enough sweets to take to the Pekin Farmers Market.

So, alas, she decided that she would do what she had to do! So she was up baking in her cozy cottage kitchen until nearly midnight last night! While everyone in the house was quiet and settling down for a night's slumber, she was toiling away baking all things delicious... cookies, lemon bars, brownies...all to satisfy the sweet tooth of her beloved townspeople.

So, in these final days of summer, you can rest assured that not only is our beloved baker not giving in to the exhaustion and heat, but, instead, she is more determined than ever to bring fresh sweets to her community.

(I should also add that, amongst the chaos of the past two days, she was able to squeak in some girl-talk time with a few of her dearest lady friends. And, dare I say, a little sweet treat, from another beloved bakery, for herself and a cocktail.)

🤗I've got to start by saying thank you! In the past few weeks my customers have kept me busy with custom orders, catering events, and nearly sold out Farmers Markets. You don't know how much that means to me!

✨When I started this business I took a HUGE gamble in the hopes that my products would catch on, get a little following, and be able to sustain once market season was over. You all have shown me that this is possible!

🍪In the past three weeks I have had the honor to create custom flavors for special events, a bridal shower, themed catering lunches, and more. As market season is winding down, please continue to let me know if there is something that you need, whether it's a mixed 6-pack of cookies, a few dozen custom flavored cookies, or a full catered event in need of a sweet treat.

🍂As we enter fall I have some BIG plans for new flavors, new pop ups, and a pre-order, porch pick up system. Stay tuned for more details!

⛈️Unfortunately the Foam Fiesta Party has been cancelled due to excessive rain.

🌞You know that I've got to see the sunny side of things, so you know what that means!? It's dough day!

Last week, you all wiped me out of every cookie, brownie, lemon bar, and dough that I had prepared. So, today, I will be making a metric ton of dough for next week!
