This is Nugget 🐶 He is our resident taste tester, and my inspiration for starting The Hungry Peke.
Nugget came to us last summer from the Pekingese Rescue Network in Hillsdale, NJ. His first owner passed away about six years ago, and then his second owner had some health problems and couldn’t take care of him anymore 😢 We are his third and forever home 🏡
Nugget was so sad when he arrived here. So was I. Just three months earlier, I had to say goodbye to my almost 10-year-old Pekingese, Ming. He had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just two weeks before he crossed the rainbow bridge. It was sudden and devastating, and it left a huge hole in my heart. Loving Nugget has helped heal my heart. He could never replace Ming, but he has made ma and my family happy again 💖
Because of Ming’s diagnosis, I’m very picky about what Nugget eats. He’s 8 years old, and I want him around for a long, long time. I cooked all of his food for him, and bake his treats because I love him and feel he deserves nothing but the best.
I truly feel that all of our dogs deserve the very best, which is why The Hungry Peke is here to serve your doggie treats needs.
