Durham Vegan Bake Sale We are volunteer organizers and bakers coming together regularly for community vegan bake sales. A life is a life and a cookie is a cookie. We value life.

We are committed to supporting local organizations doing good in our community by donating 100% of profits from the delicious treats baked and sold. In the spring of 2016, a group of friends in Durham, NC got together to organize a vegan bake sale. It started as a way to connect with others in the vegan community, bake delicious treats, and support a local organization doing good. The response was

overwhelming, and we decided we had to do more. Since then, the bake sales have become a way to connect with the community in an intersectional way. We want to support the work of organizations in our community who fight for and empower those who are marginalized and oppressed. All items at our bake sales are vegan, but they are not only for vegans. And cookies. Due to the generosity of volunteer bakers and Fullsteam Brewery, who has allowed us to use their space for free, we have been able to donate 100% of the proceeds of each event to the benefiting organization. Our goal is to continue to organize and plan bake sales that promote kindness and compassion and bring the community together to support organizations doing good for others.

Hey friends! We’re still looking for 10 more home bakers or small businesses to contribute items for the bake sale one week from Sunday!

The details:

- Baked donations to be dropped off the day before the event on Saturday, July 30 in North Durham.

- We’re asking for a minimum of two dozen items per baker (more is welcome!) Whole items like pies, tarts, etc. are still welcome, and we would of course not ask for two dozen if you decide to go that route!

- Bakers must provide an ingredient list, brief description of the item(s), and a photo to be used for the online shop!

And that’s it! Nothing is needed from participating bakers the day of the event unless you want to go online and buy some delicious treats! Comment below or DM us to get added to the list!
