We are committed to supporting local organizations doing good in our community by donating 100% of profits from the delicious treats baked and sold. In the spring of 2016, a group of friends in Durham, NC got together to organize a vegan bake sale. It started as a way to connect with others in the vegan community, bake delicious treats, and support a local organization doing good. The response was
overwhelming, and we decided we had to do more. Since then, the bake sales have become a way to connect with the community in an intersectional way. We want to support the work of organizations in our community who fight for and empower those who are marginalized and oppressed. All items at our bake sales are vegan, but they are not only for vegans. And cookies. Due to the generosity of volunteer bakers and Fullsteam Brewery, who has allowed us to use their space for free, we have been able to donate 100% of the proceeds of each event to the benefiting organization. Our goal is to continue to organize and plan bake sales that promote kindness and compassion and bring the community together to support organizations doing good for others.
