Some of my little keepers. A few EE’s and some painted silkies to put with my new black silkie rooster. I’ve hatched for so many people this season and getting a later start for myself but all worth it.

So true! Teaches a whole new respect and I’m loving the lessons taught here. Things that will carry them throughout life esp with the way the world is now. Love the peace and wholesomeness of our journey and I wouldn’t trade it for anything 💕

Children who grow up with animals learn a language of love that words can’t teach.

Just a child, an animal, and a gentle connection that says everything without words 🤍

This is where kindness begins.

We are keeping the last 2 babies and their names are Indy for the girl as she’s independent like her mama and Sterling for the boy from his silver moonspot on his side. Looking forward to watching them grow and loving on them.

What do yall do with the abundance of eggs this time of year? I make an egg bake for the chickens and ducks. These were duck eggs I was drowning in. Getting 8-9 a day and we can’t eat them as fast as they are laying. 3 1/2 dozen chicken eggs a day too. Love the rich color of the duck eggs. Added seasonings that help with their immune system esp since weather has been so back and forth. Added crushed up eggs shells to for their grit needed to help break down foods as well as added quick release calcium. When I say nothing here goes to waste I mean it!

Got prepared for a busy week ahead with farm life/swap prep coming and working. I’ve never been as busy as I have been lately. Made my own cold brew and put into mason jars with creamer. Not only saves money but I can grab on the go. Maybe I can sit outside and relax and enjoy a jar with all that’s happening.

They used to be butts when smaller and always into something but now can’t help but make them among my favs
