This money is used in various ways, from helping families with cancer patients financially, to helping finance wigs for people who have lost their hair, to research! There are many ways that this money can help out and fun ways to raise it! We do fundraise in multiple ways;
A bi-annual Burritos for B***s night at Illegal Pete's, selling awesome custom t-shirts, having a live band all night, incl
uding amazing drink and food specials, as well as just having a incredible time! Think Pink Week starting in October brings awareness to DU students as well as creating an opportunity to show your support for Breast Cancer. We table all week; selling t-shirts, giving out free "b**b" cookies, Breast Cancer Awareness pamphlets, ribbons and promoting Burritos For B***s! All Cancer Week, new this Spring, will support various cancers as well as asking for support and awareness. We will team up with other organizations in order to educate DU's population on different cancers and how to prevent them! We will be handing out goodies and again ending the week with Burritos for B***s at Illegal Pete's. Relay For Life, the biggest event we plan is a American Cancer Society Tradition. This is a twelve hour event to celebrate, remember and support those suffering from cancer! It is a great evening full of lots of walking, games, activities, food, coffee, movies, music and more! We encourage all DU students, faculty, alumni and neighbors to get involved, create a team and participate the day of! It is in May and usually begins around 7pm and ending at 7 am. It is an incredible experience and we recommend every one to come out and try it at least once, we know you will love it and get hooked! We are always up for new members and encourage every one to come to one of our meetings in Nelson Conference Room on Tuesdays at 6pm! We welcome any and all ideas for fundraising!
