🌸 WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS CELEBRATION! 🌸

In celebration of Women's Equality Day this week, I wanted to create something that does more than simply mark the occasion. The Bloom Box was created as a way to celebrate, support, and introduce you to women-owned businesses throughout our local community while doing what I love most: baking something delicious.

Over the past few weeks, I've connected with women business owners throughout the Capital Region, purchased ingredients from local women-owned producers, and gathered more than 20 businesses together to create one very special occasion.

Introducing: The Bloom Box! Each box has 12 treats (4 varieties) of homemade baked goods featuring ingredients produced by local women owned businesses. Each box contains:

🌸 FINAL CALL FOR LOCAL WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESSES! 🌸

I’ve decided to extend the deadline for The Bloom Box through this Saturday because I’d love to squeeze a few more amazing local businesses in!

The Bloom Box is a special project I’m creating in celebration of Women’s Equality Day, featuring baked goods made with ingredients from local women-owned businesses, along with a keepsake booklet highlighting women-owned businesses throughout our community.

💜 There are TWO ways to participate:

📖 Be featured in The Bloom Book:
If you own a local business of ANY kind, I still have room for a few more! There is no cost to participate.

🧁 Have a food or ingredient-based business?
I’m especially looking for a few more women-owned farms, tea/spice businesses, specialty food producers, orchards, etc. that make or sell an ingredient I could incorporate into one of the Bloom Box baked goods.

I will purchase the ingredients from you. This is NOT a request for donations! I want the project to support the participating businesses while introducing my customers to some wonderful local products.

If you’d like your business to be included, please submit your information by this Saturday, August 22nd.

💜 A little update from me!

I want to acknowledge something that I haven’t been very happy with lately, which is that I haven’t been able to keep up with my messages as well as I’d like.

One of my favorite parts of running a small business is actually getting to know the people who support it. Being responsive and keeping in touch with all of you is important to me. As Baked by Madison has gotten busier, though, messages have been coming in through email, Facebook, Instagram, my website, and my phone. I’ve realized that having so many different places to keep track of conversations just isn’t working.

So I’m making a few changes! ✨

First, all custom order requests will now need to be submitted through my Custom Order Request form: www.BakedByMadison.com/contact

I’ll no longer be able to accept custom order requests through Facebook, Instagram, email, or text. You’re absolutely still welcome to message me with questions though! The form is simply the only place I’ll be taking actual custom order requests so I can make sure nothing gets overlooked.

Some of you may have also noticed that my business phone has been broken. Truthfully, one of the things keeping me from running out to replace it has been realizing that adding yet another messaging channel back into the mix probably wasn’t going to help the problem. 😅

So I’ve spent some time behind the scenes setting up a new “command center” where my customer messages can be much more centralized and manageable. I’m going to give this new system a little time and see how it works. If it does what I’m hoping it will, I’ll get the business phone back up and running without it becoming another inbox I’m constantly chasing.

Thank you so much for your patience while I figure out systems that allow me to keep growing Baked by Madison without losing the personal connection that made me love doing this in the first place. And, as always, thank you for every order, message, class, pop-up visit, share, recommendation, and bit of support. It means more than you know. 💜

The moon garden has gone dormant.

Its light has dimmed. Its blooms have fallen silent. And something strange has begun stirring in the kitchen…

There is, however, a way to set things right.

Three recipes. Three spells. One evening to break the curse. ✨

I’m SO excited to finally reveal my next immersive baking experience: Moonlight & Magic!

With the new Practical Magic movie coming this September, I couldn’t resist creating an evening inspired by the cozy, witchy magic of that world, but with our own story to step into. 🌙

Together, we’ll bake our way through the evening and create Blackberry Hand Pies, Spiced Apple Cider Cakes, and Moonstone Chocolate Chunk Cookies, with each recipe playing a part in awakening the moon garden and breaking the curse.

No magical abilities required. 😉 Beginners are absolutely welcome, everything you need is included, and costumes are highly encouraged. So bring your coven! 🔮
