Laura Kakes Custom Cakes :] Hi! My name is Laura Kay and I love CAKE! I graduated in 2006 with a degree in Studio Art and Elementary Education.

Like many, I had to find a job that could pay the bills. Luckily for me I found one, it just wasn't in the arts. But the itch to create doesn't just go away, I needed something to do with my hands. I spent my free time trying all kinds of projects, from sewing curtains and pillows to painting "Ancient Greek Prom" photo backdrops (yes, Toga Parties can be elegant affairs!) One night I caught a rer

un of "Ace of Cakes" where they make a "Fist of Rock" groom's cake. I thought, "Hey, I can do that!" and I've been trying to ever since. I'm still learning and trying new things, so if you have something specific in mind just ask. I'll research the hows and whats and let you know if it's out of my league. At this point I also have a collection of tried and true recipes, but I love trying new ones, so let me know if you have a favorite flavor.
