Chantal has been baking for the better part of thirteen years. She would help out around the kitchen in the capacity of a young sous chef, at the ripe old age of nine. Over the years, she has gained experience with cooking many types of foods like Caribbean, Thai, Italian, Chinese, Mediterranean, and what people like to call “down-home and Soul Food cooking”. Chantal began to bake at the age of tw
elve, mastering cookies and has been “flouring pans” ever since. Despite the fact that Chantal was skilled in the kitchen at home, she felt it wouldn’t be enough to woo the taste buds of the world, let alone her immediate community. She embarked on a journey of improvement, beginning with her position as an associate at Executive Communications in 1999. Her duties included event planning, catering, and assisting various organizations with small functions. But this was only enough to get Chantal’s feet wet in the industry of food and entertainment; she needed more experience. In 2003, Chantal became the Executive Event Specialist at Simple Soirees. Under her mentor’s instruction, Chantal began to cultivate her raw cooking and baking abilities. She started to cook and bake for many different events from birthdays, weddings, galas, and other important posh events. After 6 years of catering, planning and baking for Simple Soirees, Chantal decided to strike out on her own, and become the boss or her own company. In 2011, Chantal began creating, marketing, and branding herself into a well-known baker. She has been baking for many events around Atlanta and plans to keep spreading her baking wings globally.
