CANuary wisdom of the day. Winter months make an excellent time of the year to catch up on the canning projects that seemed too daunting when the weather outside was 90 degrees. Today’s project is apple jelly made from frozen apple juice harvested and pressed in September. Enjoy!

CANuary wisdom of the day. Minimize waste, maximize nutrition! Simply keep a freezer bag/ container for clean veggie peels and cutoff ends. 🥕 🧅 celery are great options. Once the bag is full take a gallon of water, tsp or 2 off canning salt, 5 peppercorns and a bay leaf and add to a pot and simmer for a few hours. Strain and discard veg and place in freezer safe container for an excellent basically free soup stock! Enjoy.

🍅 Any interest in canning tomatoes? 🍅 large boxes (approximately 20-30lbs) for $20 a box. Taking orders for Friday night pick up. We also have plenty of onions, and bell peppers and some jalapeños if you need them too!!

Why shop at the big box stores when you can by locally grow veggies??? Just stocked a TON of produce. Tomatoes, broccoli, beets, cucumbers, zucchini, candy onions, red potatoes. I also have some nice cabbage ready to pick!!! Red Mound Wi. Look for of little wagon across from the Country Store.

Pickles in progress! Hamburger Dills, Kosher Dill spears, bread and butter, and Humble Heights famous Sweet&Spicy. Our wagon will be making its way to the Wheatland Town Community Center this week! We are soooooo excited to be back!!!
