Our precious girl finally arrived last Friday! So many of you dropped off little gifts for her and sent your well wishes over the last few months- and I wanted to share our most joyous news with you. Her little life feels so sacred and pure- so I likely won’t share much (plus this is a cake + coffee shop account 😜), but here is the sweetest reason I’m on a cake break. Meet Charlotte… aka Charly 🤍

Popping in with a little reminder that I’m on a cake break until the end of May with baby joining us any day now💛 the online cake store is still up and running for late May + early summer orders, but make sure you check your order date before placing! Grateful to have this time with my little family, and looking forward to serving you later this spring. Our coffee shop + cafe are still open to serve you craft coffee, fresh scones, and cookies during regular hours ☕️🍪
We’ll be in downtown Elmwood slinging our a la modes and cookies at the new @rosellispizzafritta at 2109 S Edgefield // this Saturday 12-3. Looks like clear skies & sunshine- a perfect day to enjoy some local vendors 💛
🤍New scone lowdown- cinnamon scone dough (loaded with pockets of butter), egg washed & topped with a hefty coating of course sugar + cinnamon. Finished off with a drizzle of sweet vanilla glaze. Baked in house daily 🤍
our crumb cups a la mode are back this week and ready to ease us into warmer, sunnier days 💛 the cart will be stocked with birthday cake & lemon berry starting this Saturday. We’ll add in a few more flavors next week. // in case you need a refresher- it’s basically half cake + half ice cream, swirled with other delicious mix ins… all made in house, and so. dang. good. 🍰🍦

Quantities of both are limited this year, but we’ll likely have some cakesicles, cookies, etc.. in the case that day if you don’t get an order in and want to swing by for some goodies.
this textured emerald beauty was in my top 5 favorite cakes last year (maybe of all time?), and these pro shots from @annahailephoto captured it SO well. // this technique utilized very very thin layers of buttercream applied using acetate sheets- layered & pressed to create texture & color variation.
THANK YOU for supporting our shop today 🤍 wasn’t sure what to expect on this frigid January day, but y’all cleared us out, and I saw so many sweet familiar faces (& lots of new ones). We’ll continue to maintain our new hours (which are always up to date on google) and serve up scone, cookie, and ice cream varieties made fresh in house. And alll the coffee too ☕️ A whole decade in this cake biz, and 3+ years as shop owners, and I’m still grateful every day that this is our path 🤍

excited to announce that our coffee shop will be reopening very soon! Next week we’ll start our new hours (swipe to see them) and then we’ll have a grand reopening on 1/22. The shop will be open for espresso, drip coffee, freshly baked scones & cookies. (Please note that at this time we won’t be serving cake slices, but they will likely be back mid-year).
running a retail storefront during a pandemic was a challenge, and it made more business sense to focus on cakes & online sales during that time, but it’s been a goal of ours to get this little space back up & running. Hope you’ll stop by for a warm latte & fresh scone 🤍

Hi 👋🏻 still here whipping up lots of wedding and birthday cakes. This particular fall season is wild huh, wedding vendors? Working on quite a few things behind the scenes that I’m excited to share about, and feeling thankful for nearly a decade in this beautiful business- no matter the ups & downs 💛
One of my biggest worries before opening the shop was how much more waste we’d be contributing to the world. I wanted a way to compost our eggshells, coffee grounds, spoiled fruit, lemon rinds, etc... but i wasn’t personally prepared for that kind of volume. I stumbled upon @turncompost and it was a perfect match. They pick up our compost buckets weekly and drop off fresh clean ones. If you’ve been looking for an easy way to compost- whether for you home or your business- TURN will be at the shop this Saturday from 11-1 to answer all of your questions. I think you’ll fall in love with this company just as I have ❤️ we’re offering some incentives too-check stories.
