These beauties came together with one of those last-minute creative moments and I’m still not over them. 😍

Soft, moist vanilla cupcakes infused with dulce de leche, topped with my signature buttercream swirl and a caramel ribbon finish that melts right into every bite. 🤍✨

⚡🍪 Did You Know? Thunderstorms Can Affect Baking

My electrical engineer brain was having a moment in the kitchen today… ⚡🍪

Today in the Loven Made kitchen we were baking during a full Texas thunderstorm, rain, humidity, lightning and all.

And here’s a little geeky baking fact for you…

Stormy weather can actually change how baked goods behave.

During thunderstorms the atmosphere changes, humidity rises, air pressure shifts, and the air becomes more electrically charged due to lightning.

Those changes can influence how ingredients react in the oven:

• Flour absorbs more moisture from humid air
• Sugar attracts water (it’s hygroscopic)
• Dough can become softer and spread differently
• Heat transfer and rising can behave slightly differently

In other words…

Baking is delicious chemistry and physics. 🔬

Luckily, even stormy weather can’t stop the Loven Made kitchen from creating something sweet.

You have lifted my little home bakery in ways I could have only dreamed of. Your support this year has meant the world to me and my family.

Every cookie, every flan, every cake, it all carries a piece of my heart, and it brings me so much joy to know it becomes part of your celebrations, your tables, your memories.

Your messages, your quick responses, and your kindness means more than I can express. I’m truly overwhelmed by your generosity and the way you always show up for me. Every order, every pickup, every thoughtful message keeps Loven Made growing and fills my heart with so much joy.
