10 years ago, a fire took everything I owned. 🔥

I moved to Preston Hollow with nothing and a small insurance check. Enough to furnish a living room or start something new. Not both.

I bought baking equipment instead of a couch.
That one decision became Cookie Whipped. 🍪

Ten years later:

My day at Cookie Whipped actually has three shifts 🩵

Shift 1 — Morning CEO: Emails, quotes, team check-ins, strategy work… in 20-minute bursts between snack requests from my 3-year-old. Running a business with a toddler in the room is its own sport.

Shift 2 — After School: The big kids pull up chairs next to me. I decorate, they tell me every single thing that happened at recess, we eat the broken cookies, and somehow I finish the batch I promised.

Shift 3 — Night Shift with My Love: Kids in bed, podcast on, Robert next to me, music up. Hundreds of cookies move faster when I'm not also refereeing a snack war.

Three shifts. One bakery. 10 years of making it work. 🍪

The Confession PUMPKIN SNICKERDOODLE

Confession: I failed at pumpkin snickerdoodles last year. 🎃

I wanted that warm, autumn-in-your-mouth pumpkin pop. I kept getting… beige. A cookie that tasted like it was embarrassed to be pumpkin.

So this year I handed a batch to my friends and said "be honest."

They were.
I kept tweaking.
And then — the pop. 🍂

The 2026 Pumpkin Snickerdoodle is here. Pillow-soft, buttery, cinnamon-sugar-rolled, and finally tastes like actual pumpkin spice season.

Anyone else struggle with imposter syndrome? 🙋‍♀️

I'll be honest: I usually dread business events. Walking into a room full of strangers makes me quietly anxious every single time.

I'm always wondering if I'll say the right thing, if I belong, or if anyone will remember me.

But Wednesday night at the Black Tie Dinner Sponsor Appreciation Reception at Hotel ZaZa was a completely different story.

This is the fastest I've EVER felt at home with a group. Hugs within minutes, real conversations, and a warmth that didn't feel like networking—it felt like being welcomed into a family that's been standing up for the Texas LGBTQ+ community for 45 years.

Becoming an official Black Tie Dinner sponsor during our 10th anniversary year is one of my proudest achievements as a founder. We can’t wait for the November 14th Gala and to bring our Sweet Shot Booth to the December 17th Wrap Party! 💜

Woodsy, shroomy cuteness has my whole heart! 🌲
