Hi all! Kari's dad had a major heart surgery a few months ago and the business was put on hold. He had a lot of complications but has been doing great now and fully recovered! During that time, Kari had some time to reflect and decided that she'd prefer to pursue other interests. So, she has closed the business. Thank you so much for all the support these last few years and we wish you the best in the new year!

Kari was asked to do a simple sheet cake celebrating some family members birthdays (yes, there were 5 of them) so she made this dairy-free and gluten-free white almond cake. Everybody’s been enjoying the new flavor! Have you tried it yet?

Also, writing on cakes is still tricky.

Kiki’s Delivery Service Cake!

What’s your favorite Studio Ghibli movie? It’s no secret that Kari loves her anime but she had never seen any of their movies yet. This was her first one. What should we watch next? 🙂

It’s the last day for Kari’s Barefoot University group and she made a cake for the end of year party inspired by the watercolor natural journal they worked on all year.

The cake is dairy-free/gluten-free chocolate cake with dairy-free modeling chocolate for the ring binding, wafer paper edges and an edible image for the cover.

By the way, Barefoot University is currently enrolling for next year if you are looking for a co-op to get your kids outside in nature, learning and engaging with kids of all ages!

Ganache is still a pretty new material for me so this was a fun practice cake!
