This is why not all bread is created equal 👀

Take a look at this ingredient list…

Enriched flour, added sugars, oils, preservatives, dough conditioners—and yes, even “yeast” to speed things up.

This is how most grocery store “sourdough-style” breads are made:
Fast. Manufactured. Built for shelf life.

But real sourdough?
It doesn’t need a paragraph of ingredients.

Just flour, water, salt—and time.

Long fermentation (12–48+ hours) is what:
• develops flavor naturally
• helps break down gluten
• makes bread easier to digest

That deep, rich taste people love in sourdough isn’t supposed to come from additives…
It comes from patience.

So if you flip over a loaf and see a long ingredient list, it’s a good reminder:

Flavor can be added.
But true fermentation can’t be rushed.
