I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends! All I can say is I ate wayyyyy too much yesterday and needed today to recover. 😂

I made three buttermilk pies and one specialty pie for family gatherings! The speciality one is a blackberry, white chocolate and toffee pie. I got the recipe from a cookbook my Momma gave me for Christmas years ago. It’s a lot of fun to make!

For my night owls. 🦉We have a chocolate pie! 🤩 I’ve never made one before (never had to, my Aunt Tina’s are AMAZING). But when a friend asks if I can make her one, obviously I’m gonna say yes.

Then there are the classics… apple, chocolate chip pecan and the old fashioned southern pecan.

I gotta say though… tonight’s bake was tough because some things didn’t go as I had planned. But in baking (and life), you’re constantly learning. You either let the set backs hold you back (like a botched meringue 🤪), or you just suck it up and try again. The biggest thing is to not quit!

Guess that’s my journal entry for the day. 😂 And don’t forget if you still need a pie for the upcoming December holidays, message me!

I always make my own dough! It’s the toughest thing I’ve ever made myself, but it’s so rewarding when it goes well.
