Community over competition. Always. 🤍
There is room for all of us.
There is room for the baker who makes beautiful artisan loaves, the baker who specializes in sweets, the baker who loves bold flavors, the baker who keeps things simple, and the baker who does things completely differently than we do.
Because that’s the beautiful thing about baking. We all have our own style, our own recipes, our own customers, and our own place in this community.
We’ve always believed that supporting another small business does not take anything away from ours. Someone else succeeding doesn’t mean we’re failing. In fact, we think a community is stronger when we cheer each other on, recommend one another, share spaces, and genuinely want to see other small businesses succeed.
That’s why the continued harassment and negativity we’ve experienced is something we truly don’t understand. We aren’t interested in competing in that way. We aren’t interested in tearing anyone down, arguing over who belongs where, or making someone else feel like there isn’t room for them. We don’t have time or energy for the tireless and pointless drama that goes with being against another baker.
There is room.
Our bread won’t be everyone’s favorite, and someone else’s bread won’t be everyone’s favorite either. That’s okay. That’s why having choices is such a wonderful thing.
At the end of the day, we’re all small businesses trying to create something we’re proud of, support our families, and be part of the communities we love.
We’ll continue choosing kindness. We’ll continue supporting other bakers and small businesses. And we’ll continue believing that there is enough room at the table for all of us. 🤎
