It's hard to imagine but today is my 6 month anniversary for my second brain surgery! I have to praise God for showing mercy over my life. I fight because I am not alone. I fight for my family. I fight because God already won. In my darkest hours He is there. I fight on my knees or in song or in tears. Cancer has stolen things and people very precious to me. Cancer has tried to convince me my future is lost. God calms my spirit and silences the awful thoughts that try to consume me. He tells me I am loved and He has this. So I surrender to Him alone. When the treatments are taking everything out of me, He restores my strength. I could not and will not fight without God leading the way. All glory to Him now and forever.
Round 6 Day 3. Chemo is going as expected, tough and exhausting. Super excited to see my in laws Susan Grink this weekend. Elijah Grink needs some Dad time! Have a blessed day. Remember if you need prayer I am a message away!

After a long day of doctor's appointments we have decided to wait on any radiation therapy for the time being. We have been cleared to begin round 6! Half way through. 6 more months to go. I am still siezure free! I feel 100% better this surgery than the first and I am able to almost live a normal life again. I was able to go to an Ice Rays game compliments of Kaitlyn winning them. We had so much fun and my girls and husband saw a side of me they have never seen. The HOCKEY FAN . I sure couldnt help but to think of my brother who was a huge hockey fan. I miss him everyday. I am grateful for all the prayers and good thoughts.

For cancer warriors and friends and family. We pray for a cure from this awful disease.
One of the hardest news to accept😪😪 is when the doctor says there’s nothing left to do, there are only two options: keep her sleeping until her body collapses or give her morphine to ease her pains." Our world fell apart and we didn't know how to break the news, we just knew we had to tell it.
We walked into her room and she smiled at us (our eyes were red and swollen from crying) and she said don't cry, I understand it's the end but there's no reason to be sad. She took our hands and cuddled us and we immediately hugged her. "Don't worry, it's part of life and you have to understand that we are all just passing through" (all while we cried like children unable to comfort ourselves). After she caught her breathing, we told her the options and she chose to stay awake so she could spend a few more days with us. Some days she woke up without pain, ate and some days she was very happy, laughing and we had great days (after many bad months)...
Definitely in the hardest times you know who your true friends are or the people who really values you. Unfortunately, most friendships abandon you and only send you "good vibes" but from a distance, not anymore..
I decided to post this message in support of someone very special to me who fought a lot and with good energy. They taught me to live every day as the best day! Now I'm looking, those who will have time to read this post until the end. This is a little test, just to see who reads and who shares without reading! If you have read all, select "like" so I can put a thank you on your profile. Cancer is very invasive and destructive to our body. Even after the fight Its a very long process. Please, in honor of someone who died or is fighting or even had cancer, but was healed; copy and paste. Everyone says, "if you need anything, don't hesitate, I'll be there for you."
So going to do a challenge, I think less than half of my friends will put this on their wall. Just copy ( don't share ) I want to know who I can count on.

Well here we go. Round 5 begins.
My hubby brought to my attention that I have in fact had 20 rounds, if I count the rounds by how many chemo pills I have taken. Once a month I take 5 pills. It has been a journey I wouldn't wish on anyone even my worst enemy. But I will fight it with everything I have and my God will carry me (and drag me) every moment of everyday. I had a great report for the surgeon and oncologist. Pray for a cure. Someday people like me will have more answers. Pray for the families. Pray pray pray pray. Love you all deeply.

Woo hooo!!!! Glory to God!! Neurologist says everything looks great! I can go and get my driver's license again and keep coming down off siezure meds! We have been given the okay to wait on radiation and check back on it in 6 months. Since my kind of cancer doesn't go away. I will continue with the chemotherapy treatment plan and keep moving forward!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the prayers!

Round 5 postponed a couple of days due to double ear infection and antibiotics. Mri yesterday went well. Thanks to my awesome p*p! Dustin Merriman. Thursday we discuss mri results with Neuro surgeon to see how I am doing 16 weeks from surgery. It is crazy to think about that. It has been almost 5 month since surgery. I am getting stronger some days and need to rest more often on others. I have NOT HAD SIEZURES IN 3 MONTHS!! PRAISE BE TO GOD!!! In fact we have been weaning down off the high dosage (4000mg a day) to a regular dosage (1000 a day)My husband Elijah Grink has been a rock star
He is working hard running his own business MY AC GUY, taking care of me and our family and I love him more and more everyday. My girls are growing and loving as ever.
I will let you know what tomorrow brings. Thank you for all the prayers and good thoughts. We feel them.

This whole "we aren't friends because she didn't check on me” or “she didn't support me" or she “never reaches out first” narrative sucks.
Women are out here struggling to just stay above water every second of every day, fighting their own battles 💔

There are women out here going through divorces, abuse, major depression, financial trouble, family trouble, relationship trouble, health issues, work issues, deaths, and mental illness... and they are supposed to constantly check in on YOU in order to be your friend?

My friendship doesn't have requirements.
My friendship doesn’t have contingencies.
My friendship doesn’t have obligations.
You don’t have to call every day. It doesn't have guidelines or quotas. As long as it's organic, unforced, and NON-TOXIC, you will forever have my love and support. 💗
