French baguette granted special status by United Nations

I love baguettes! I think they are well deserve to be a treasure. Don't believe everything you hear in the video, though. There are no rules for how long baguettes should be, also no rules how many cuts they should have. When you see the baguette, you recognize it.

The iconic French baguette has been officially recognized as a part of world cultural heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Ian Lee has the details.

Kyivan Mantul'kys all dressed up and ready for Christmas! Did I tell you? If kept in airtight container they stay fresh for very long time! If you forgot and left them out for few days, and they became hard, NO PROBLEM! Put them in a Zip-lock bag with a small piece of apple and they are good as they were freshly baked. We are still enjoying leftovers from Thanksgiving 😀. Mom tried them today side by side and couldn't tell the difference. They keep the freshness well!

I don't know if there versions of them in other regions, but i am introducing to you "Kyivan Mantul'kys"
I remember this cookies from my childhood. I loved them not only for the taste, but it was fun to say "Mantul'ky". They tasted, and still do, nothing like you tried before. Back then they were Holiday treats. Mom baked them for New Year, mainly because finding almonds was a task, and then you had to grate them by hand. Mom substituted almonds for hazelnuts or walnuts those were more common, and didn't grate them, but chopped with knife very finely. Luckily, finding almond flour or almond meal here isn't a problem, so I used original recipe: almond flour, wheat flour, butter, egg yokes, sugar, a pinch of salt. Buttery, nutty, crunchy and soft at the same time... They are so good! They can be cut with any cookie cutters and decorate to your liking. This Halloween version is dedicated to my beloved city Kyiv an heroic defenders of Ukraine. Yes, they are available for order and 50% of profit will be donated to help Ukraine to win this war.

Good morning! Tuesday, August 30th I will be baking Ukrainian rye bread. How Ukrainian rye is different from any other rye bread? Well, it has higher percentage of rye flour and doesn't have any additives, really only three components water, organic rye flour+organic bread flour, salt. Naturally leavened over 6-8 hours in warm temperture, it has distinguished sourdough and rye taste. Denser crumb (no large holes, evenly distributed small holes) and super crunchy crust. For those who gew up in Ukraine it is definitely taste of childhood. Please place your orders.,
PS. As a bonus you will receive 2 rye sandwich rolls. In Ukraine we call them "tsilushka". In old times Ukrainians respected the bread very much. So the head of the household,usually oldest man, kissed (tsiluvav) the side of the bread. Every one wanted that piece. I don't want anyone to fight 😀, so I will gift you extra tsilushka.
