As the big sister, we’re allowed to brag a little.

For years, The Ugly Cheesecake Company has been fortunate enough to be recognized by the Star Tribune as one of Minnesota’s Best Desserts. Twice. We’ve baked more than 90,000 cheesecakes, cracked more than half a million eggs, and made hundreds of thousands of cookies. We’ve spent years feeding people, celebrating milestones, and sending a little happiness all over Minnesota.

But today, our hearts are bursting for our little brother.

A year and a half ago, we carved out a tiny sandwich shop inside our manufacturing facility and called it The Treasury of Pine River. No fancy dining room. No huge advertising budget. Just a handful of sandwiches, made with care, served a few hours a day in a small Minnesota town.

And somehow, this little sandwich shop that wasn’t supposed to be anything more than a fun idea has been named one of Minnesota’s Best Lunch Spots by the Star Tribune and the votes of 5.8 million Minnesotans.

We couldn’t be prouder.

So we’re asking a favor from all of our cheesecake friends: come meet our little brother.

Make the drive to Pine River. Pick a day. Grab one of the sandwiches people are talking about all across Minnesota, and while you’re here, enjoy cheesecake right at its source.

Today, our incredible ambassador, Lori Rubin, had the privilege of delivering one of our cheesecakes to the board meeting of the Mid Minnesota Builders Association as a small thank-you for everything they do for our communities.

The Mid Minnesota Builders Association does so much more than support the building industry. Through scholarships, programs like Tools for Schools, and partnerships with organizations like Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity, they help strengthen the communities we all call home.

At The Ugly Cheesecake Company, we’ve always believed cheesecake can be more than dessert. It can be a way to say thank you, celebrate kindness, and recognize the people who quietly make a difference every day.

A huge thank-you to Lori Rubin for representing our company so beautifully and for helping us spread a little sweetness and a lot of gratitude throughout Minnesota. We couldn’t do this without ambassadors like you.

And to the board and members of the Mid Minnesota Builders Association—thank you for investing in our communities and for everything you do behind the scenes.

There are certain traditions that make a community feel like home.

For us, one of those traditions is partnering with the Lions Club during their annual peach sale. Year after year, this event brings neighbors together, supports meaningful community projects, and reminds us how fortunate we are to be part of something larger than ourselves.

We’re especially honored to continue a tradition we’ve come to cherish: our Peach Cobbler Cheesecake will once again be available for pickup alongside your peach order on July 28th. Simply reserve your peaches through the Lions Club and pre-order your cheesecake, and we’ll have it waiting for you when you arrive.

Sweet summer peaches. Handmade cheesecake. A community coming together for a good cause.

It’s a simple combination, but it’s one of our favorites.

The Ugly Cheesecake Company has always believed that great communities are built by people who show up for one another, and few organizations embody that spirit better than the Lions Club. We are proud to support their efforts and grateful for the opportunity to be part of this tradition once again.

People ask us all the time:

“Are your cheesecakes handmade?”

The answer is yes.

Every cheesecake starts right here. Ingredients measured by hand. Mixers running before most people are awake. Pans filled one at a time. Ovens loaded and unloaded. Floors swept. Dishes washed. Recipes checked. Temperatures watched. Thousands of small decisions made by people who genuinely care about what leaves this building.
