A little peek at what I've been working on behind the scenes. 👀

I've been experimenting with new techniques and new ways to take familiar desserts and turn them into something unexpected.

Today, I tested something I've been wanting to try for a while…

Croissant Cinnamon Rolls. 🥐

This was my first attempt, and I'm honestly really happy with how they turned out. There are still a few things I want to tweak, but that's part of creating something new.

I'm excited to keep experimenting and see where this one goes.

🌬️ A New Direction for Cool Breeze Pastries

So… what's next for Cool Breeze Pastries? 👀

I've been thinking a lot about where I want to take this business, and I realized I don't want to just be another bakery selling the same things everyone else is selling.

I want to build Cool Breeze into a specialty dessert brand.

I want to take familiar desserts and flavors and turn them into something unexpected.

🍓 Strawberry Shortcake → Cinnamon Roll
🥐 Croissant → Cinnamon Roll
🍮 Crème Brûlée → Cinnamon Roll

And that's just the beginning.

You'll also see my signature Cobbler Rolls, specialty cinnamon rolls, award-winning Conchas, Mexican-inspired baked goods, and limited seasonal creations.

I'll also be introducing limited weekly pop-ups, featuring a small selection of freshly baked creations available in limited quantities. 👀

The goal is simple:

Create desserts people remember.
Create flavors people can't find everywhere.
Create something that feels uniquely Cool Breeze Pastries

I'm starting small, experimenting, and building this one creation at a time.

This is Cool Breeze Pastries 2.0. 🌬️

Cool Breeze Pastries is back!
I've been away for a little while, taking some much-needed time to be with family, reconnect, and focus on some things in my own life. That time gave me a chance to slow down, reflect, and really think about where I want to take Cool Breeze Pastries.
And I'm so excited for what's next.
I'm back in the kitchen, working on some new ideas and preparing for a new chapter for Cool Breeze Pastries.

❤️ Our second donation drop-off location is officially set up!

You can now drop off donations for the Hawk Fire relief drive at American Pizza & Grill in Cool.
Thank you so much to American Pizza & Grill for opening their doors and helping us give our community another place to donate. ❤️
Remember, donations can also be dropped off at Holiday Market in Cool.

We're collecting through August 31, and I'll continue to keep everyone updated if the needs change or we decide to extend the drive.

❤️ HAWK FIRE RELIEF DONATION DRIVE ❤️
I feel like I’m being called to do something.
The people affected by the Hawk Fire in Reno have lost their homes, had to evacuate with almost nothing, or are currently living away from their homes not knowing what comes next.
We’re in California, but that doesn’t mean we can’t help.

I reached out to Project Bear Hugs, a Reno organization helping families and animals affected by the fires, and they let me know what items are currently needed. I’m organizing a community donation drive here in our area so we can come together and help.

CURRENTLY NEEDED:

🛏️ Blankets
🛏️ Pillows
🐾 Animal toys
🐾 Animal beds & blankets
🐾 Animal food
🎁 Gift cards

Donations can be dropped off here on Mondays as well.

📅 DONATION DRIVE: AUGUST 24–31

We’ll be collecting donations for one week, through Monday, August 31. Depending on the response and the needs of the families and animals, we may extend the drive.

The current needs may change as more families find out whether they’ve lost their homes, so I’ll keep everyone updated and add anything else that becomes necessary.

I know I can’t fix what happened. I can’t give someone their home back. But maybe together we can make someone’s next few days a little easier.

The second amazing woman who reached out to me was Jacqueline, who was planning a birthday party for her son with the cutest racing theme inspired by “If You’re Not First, You’re Last!” 🏁

She was looking for a smash cake and two dozen custom cookies. She gave me creative freedom, with one request: that the cake and cookies match the decorations she already had for the party. I absolutely loved the theme and had so much fun bringing the racing details to life!

For the cookies, I had a blast creating all things racing, from checkered flags and race cars to racing helmets and road-inspired designs. But I think my absolute favorite was the “If You’re Not First, You’re Last!” cookie. I got to get a little creative with that one, and I loved how it turned out!

Moving on to the cake, Jacqueline and I decided on a 6-inch, single-tier smash cake. She chose chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. At first, I wasn't quite sure which direction I wanted to take the design. I thought about keeping it simple with white frosting and a black-and-white shell border.

Then it hit me... it’s a racing theme! 🏎️💨

So I decided to turn the cake into a little racetrack, complete with a road winding around the cake and two racing cars on top. I’m honestly so happy with how everything came together!

It’s been a busy week here at Cool Breeze Pastries, baking up a storm in the kitchen for two wonderful women! 💕

One of these wonderful women, J, reached out to me wondering if I could make a Lemon Meringue Pie for her friend. I told her I could most definitely do that, and I was so delighted that she reached out and trusted me to make something special for someone she cares about.

This was only the second Lemon Meringue Pie I’ve ever made, and I’m honestly so happy with how it turned out! The filling came out beautifully, and that meringue topping turned the most gorgeous golden brown. ✨

I truly hope her friend loves the pie! J, thank you so much for choosing Cool Breeze Pastries and for giving me another opportunity to do what I love most, creating something delicious and made with love. It means so much to me that I get to share my passion for baking with others. ❤️
