Hello to all my clients both current and past and to those potential clients also! I have to say that you have certainly tested and pushed my boundries for I am learning more new "stuff" for cake decorating and baking than I ever have. Thank you all for the $ tips, it is very much appreciated. Thank you to my repeat customers. I am booked out to next year.

I have baked for well over 20 years and am still very passionate about it. Maybe because when I am baking & decorating, I am able to connect with my beautiful Grandmother. She was my best friend and now she is my rock as I remember her teaching, laughing, caring.

Grandma’s Story

[email protected] As a little girl I watched my Grandma Carmen make beautiful cakes and pies; especially those pretty roses. Originally she worked at a Bakery in Greeley, Colorado and then moved to Denver and worked in several bakeries. She was in her late eighties and one day I walked into her house and saw that she wasn’t decorating a cake correctly; and I made the mistake of telling her that. She became upset and said, “Here! You do it!”, and dropped the pastry bag on the table. I thought she was testing me so I finished decorating the cake, and did a pretty good job too. She was still upset and when I asked why, she told me she couldn’t see, she was going blind. So, I guess that was my start to baking. I took a decorating class, (since she was too picky in showing me how to make those pretty roses), began using Grandma’s wonderful recipes and before I knew it, I was Grandma’s Pies & Cakes. Everyone who knew her can understand what a precious gift she gave us through her baking. I always thought I would be a “career woman” working my way to the top. I never dreamed I would be, “The Baker”. I guess God knows better than we do about what we want to be when we grow up.

Now, my lovely husband, John, and I put together the most beautiful wedding cakes and lots of other delicious goodies. My daughters Adrienne and Danielle bring in orders. And that’s the story.
