Yesterday we did our first festival as a vendor. It was a roller coaster of emotions from excitement to panic. The morning started off beautiful brisk but sunny. We had our first customer within 30 minutes of the event opening and breathed a sigh of relief that we had sold at-least 1 cake pop. Then the sun decided to join the party. And with the sun came heat, and one important thing to know about cake pops, they need a chilly environment. So when I touched a cake pop and it felt softer, panic set in.

But as a family business, I was thankful that my husband snapped into action, prepared with ton of backup ice packs.

Ultimately, we didn’t sell as many as I was hoping for, but getting to see the smiles from our customers I was filled with joy and pride for what I’d created.

We met a ton of new people and learned lessons for our next event. Can’t wait to see you at the next one.
