I’ve been going to Courtney for years now. When she opened her own salon ( ) in Columbus, I was so stoked. Her ability to make someone both look and feel beautiful is really spectacular— she handles all of my questions and indecision with compassion and knowledge, so every haircut I get here becomes my new “best haircut I’ve ever had.” On top of all that, Courtney is an absolutely lovely human. She has crafted this little nook on W. 5th and Forsythe into such a cozy, inviting space to recenter and relax. There’s so much thought, care, and creativity put into these walls — I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else in Columbus for hair care.

I had the distinct honor of being asked to design the 25 Under 35 Award for my alma mater, Saint Joseph Academy. This institution will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am blessed to have had the opportunity to contribute to the academy in this way. I am so grateful for all of the kind messages from the awardees and their families last night.

Congratulations to all 25 recipients of this year’s award, and many thanks to the SJA Alumnae Department and Tammi Olle for thinking of me for this special illustration. Sursum corda!

This is a re-draw of Cleveland’s terminal tower, one of my first drawings, and one of the pieces hanging up in my first gallery exhibit!!!!!

I can finally spill the beans — as of last night’s soft open, my are hanging in a gallery at Current! This has been a bucket list dream of mine for a long time, and I am so, so grateful to the gallery’s founders, to the other artists, to my beautiful mother and amazing partner, and to everyone who has supported me and my work.

75% of my proceeds for this exhibition will be going toward the Renee Jones Empowerment Center, a NEO organization that supports survivors of human trafficking.

I am so proud to be a part of this exhibit, to be a part of this incredible community, and to live in this amazing city.

It’s been a busy week, so I’m gonna take the weekend off and cheer on the Brownies. 🧡🤎

On a chilly winter day, nothing is better than a mug of clam chowder from 🥣 ❄️

This is my rendition of the famous Cleveland Trust Company Building, now home to Heinen’s downtown location here in Cleveland. There are a lot of little details in this one that can be easy to miss on Instagram. Stay tuned for how you can see this piece in person, coming soon 👀👀

Did you guess correctly? It’s The Feast! 🇮🇹 Have you been? This is one of my favorite events in Cleveland and I’ve wanted to draw it for a long time. This was also a fun experiment in including little people in my illustration. The end of 2020 was busy for me, and I didn’t draw as much as I would have liked — it’s good to start shaking the dust off of my pens and getting back to putting ink on paper :)

Who doesn’t love caring for the planet?! 🌎🌱When Better World Refill Shop opened up in Lakewood this past year, I knew I wanted to do something special for this amazing small business (beyond my monthly refill of cedar + sage shampoo 😍)! This piece will soon be hanging at BWRS — I encourage you to go check it out when you meet the store owner Rachel! In the meantime, follow BWRS and learn more about how you can take care of your body and home while you take care of the earth 💙

I love colorful, exciting pieces like this — but I’ll be returning to some more architectural work soon. I have something BIG in the works and am bursting at the seams keeping it a secret. Stay tuned!

happy holidays! while I will be keeping my shop’s holiday commissions to a minimum this year, I wanted to encourage shopping small in my hometown of Lakewood, Ohio.

Research shows that 68¢ of each dollar spent locally, stays in that community. In a time where our small businesses need us more than ever, I encourage you to keep as many gift purchases as local as possible this year! Your community will thank you ❤️ I am personally pledging to do ALL of my holiday shopping in Lakewood for 2020!
