Sappy post alert: As most of you know, I’ve been blessing people under my own personal umbrella each week while I deliver boxes that have been ordered! This box I’m delivering today has such a special meaning to me! The recipient has been a friend of mine for the last 5+ years! Our boys have played ball together. We’ve laughed and cried together. We’ve gone on trips together. We’ve watched tv, eaten popcorn and spent lots of nights talking and sharing our hearts. We’ve explored new cities together, spent early mornings and late nights together. She is a rare gem, a light in this world that desperately needs it. I’ve learned so much about selflessness and priorities from her. Although I’m not sharing her identity, she knows who she is and I am so grateful for her friendship. This is what it’s all about.. loving on the people who love you in your good times and bad. Reaching out to the people who have reached out to you! Blessing others in the midst of the storm!! God is so good, His love is steadfast and He will continue to be the anchor in my heart and my home! 🙏🏼

What I miss
1. My students! Seeing them on screen is just not the same but we are making it work.
2. My freedom to go anywhere, whenever I like. (Although I understand the importance of why right now)
3. All of my family being together
BUT...
I am soaking up this time with my niece and nephew I’ve been quarantined with these last weeks and am not missing the rushing around I felt before. Enjoying the boring. For now 😁
This is a plant my mom gave me from a cutting of her plant. She got hers from a cutting from her cousin. Who got it from her son who brought it home from Hawaii. 50 years ago 💚
