A friendly reminder that I will not be at the market this week. I have been moving my dad this week, throw in a sick visit to the Dr for josie yesterday, but I'll end the day Friday setting up a beautiful dessert bar for cousin Annie!
Last Saturday I was so honored to supply tasty treats for Juniper + Sage Aesthetics - Waterloo, IL five year anniversary party and so happy to watch them grow from the beginning!
Then Josie and I set up a dessert bar at Old Monroe. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Minor!

Good morning my friends. This post maybe a bit long but stay with me.
Back on June 15th things unfortunately changed in my life with one of my biggest fans, my dad. I have been dealing with him, my bakery, running the market and being a mom!
Got my dad out of the hospital and into a nursing home for rehab where he was diagnosed with dementia. I have seen this coming for years but I've dealt with it on a day-to-day basis.
I have spent the last few month's getting things in order and let me tell you it's not an easy task.
Monday I will be moving furniture and setting him up in a warm cozy one bedroom apartment at Garden Place. He believes this to be temporary as he wants to go back to his house. The house his parents built that he grew up in from the age of 9. So this is truly very hard!
With this I have to take a step back from my bakery, my dream that I truly love and is my job. Unfortunately I can't do my job 100% when I'm being pulled away at a moments notice. If you have an order placed or we have been talking you are good, I just can't squeeze any large orders in for the next few months. If time allows watch for pop-ups as I still need income.
Sorry for the deep dive into my very personal life but I felt the need to explain why I have been MIA this summer. You are truly the best customers a girl could ask for and what doesn't break me will make me stronger or that's what I keep tell myself.
I will see you all back at the market September 10th.

I was going to post my menu today but unfortunately Josie got sick early this morning and I'm unable to make the market tonight.
I truly hate missing the market as it's always the highlight of my week!
Another bummer is I'm unable to make the market next week as well. I'm setting up a dessert bar for a wedding next Friday afternoon and I need to prep Thursday when I would usually be at the market.
Thanks for understanding and if I bake a few extras I'll post with pick-up times.

Josie's so happy to get back to school today and yes I'm that mom who didn't get a picture and had to ask her wonderful teacher Mrs. Vollmer for a picture! There's always hope for the first after school picture!

Spend the day yesterday celebrating our little miracle the best way she wanted with pizza at Jordan, sand island and a taco dinner!

The 3 of us will be spending the rest of the week swimming, eating too much and just enjoying our time together.
I will not be at the market this week and unavailable to answer any messages, call, texts or emails.
