We had an incredible time this week at with our family and friends! We were there for a week and did lots of hiking, zip lining (shout out to for utilizing positive peer pressure and convincing me to zip the Royal Gorge), and the kids were really into rock climbing! I met these friends at years ago, we all met our spouses there, and then we lived together in college. So fun to reconnect as families years later! Grateful to be home, but such a fun adventure for the week!

Getting to bake for fun is a luxury and I certainly took advantage of that these past couple of days! I love the whole process of baking…bringing random ingredients together and turning them into something amazing. The best part though is the joy people have when they are given some of these treats. Looking forward to getting to drop off some goods with some neighbors tomorrow!

13 years with my favorite person! As we have been saying for a bit, we are officially a teenager now which is kind of crazy to think about. There has been so much life that has happened in those 13 years and truly, you are the one I want to hang out with all the time (even when I am peopled out), tell my random thoughts to and hear your train fun facts, go on road trips with so I can sing loudly and judgment free. You have been my champion in every phase and I look forward to seeing you at the end of every day. My safe space and the one who teaches me so much. Love you!

Our Story

Carly Cakes Sweets is a home bakery specializing in decorated sugar cookies. We are also all about other delicious baked goods to serve at your party or wedding. Let me know what we can make for you!

This little business of mine originated back in 2011 when I started baking cupcakes with fondant toppers - you know, back when everyone first discovered fondant! I was loving all of the baking I was getting to do but then we had our first baby and there just wasn’t enough time for baking, a full-time job, and a babe. So sadly, I let my mixer have some much-needed rest.

Fast forward 6 years and 2 more kids later and here we are! I have dabbled in baking just about everything but sugar cookies have found a special place in my heart. I often compare them to a grown-up coloring book where you can kind of just get in a groove and tune everything out. Not only do I love the joy you get from what I create for you, but I receive so much joy in the making of all of these treats.

The Lord has been so sweet to give me this opportunity and He continues to pave a way for Carly Cakes and the prayer is that I will hold this business open-handed and be willing to go where He leads!
