Currently run by the mother-daughter duo of Fabiana Beatriz & Adriana Carolina, the Gineau name has a legacy handed down for generations upholding a tradition of hard work and a certain joie de vivre centered around love and service. This passion for excellence has taken a journey started when Louis Gineau left French Martinique in the late 1800's. He traveled by boat to the northern coast of South America where he established roots while working on the railroad. He passed on the customs of his homeland, hard work ethic and passion for food to his daughter, the matriarch of the Gineau legacy, Luisa Elena, born December 7th, 1906. Drawing inspiration from growing up in her mother's kitchen Fabiana Beatriz established a very successful Boutique Bakery in Maracaibo. She was forced to leave her home and her beloved bakery due to political turmoil and found herself on a journey similar to that of her great grandfather looking for a better life for their family. Starting from scratch no different than she would one of her famous cakes, she needed a new name for her new bakery. When asked what here favorite thing was about baking she responded working alongside her daughter the same way she, as a child, had seen her mother learn from Mamie Gineau and suddenly the name was born. Life has brought the duo to Sarasota, Florida where they hope to embrace the tropical lifestyle of the roots that run deep within their veins.
