Hey, I’m Marisa 👋🏼 — the pastry chef behind Black Hound Bake House! I’m a metro Detroit native who left home to chase my dream to be a pastry chef, starting with the Culinary Institute of America in New York. From there, I spent time in sunny Florida working at The Four Seasons Palm Beach, then made my way back to Michigan to be closer to home.

Since then, I’ve led pastry programs at Prime + Proper Detroit and Hometown Restaurant Group — and now it’s finally time to take the leap and build something of my own. Black Hound Bakehouse is the start of that dream, and I’m so excited to share it with you! 🎉
