Hello June. 🌿
As we step into a brand-new month, I want to ask you something.
When was the last time you showed appreciation for yourself?
Not because someone else congratulated you.
Not because you hit a major milestone.
Not because social media told you it was acceptable.
Just because you recognized your own hard work.
So many of us spend our days taking care of everyone else. We show up for our families, our customers, our businesses, our careers, our communities, and the countless responsibilities that fill our calendars.
But do we ever stop and acknowledge ourselves?
During Mother's Day weekend, I purchased something for myself. Not to flex. Not because of the designer's name. Not to impress anyone.
I purchased quality.
And it reminded me that we should invest in ourselves with the same level of quality that we give to others every single day.
The quality of our work.
The quality of our commitment.
The quality of our service.
The quality of our character.
What I love most about this photo isn't the bag itself. It's the reminders attached to it.
My brand travels with me.
Whether it's on a bag tag, a notebook, a t-shirt, a jacket, or a piece of packaging, it reminds me who I am, what I have built, and the standards I have committed to uphold.
It reminds me that Celene's Confections isn't just a business.
It's a reflection of the person behind it.
And sometimes we all need reminders of who we are.
Whether you own a business, work a full-time job, raise a family, volunteer in your community, or all of the above, you deserve moments that say:
"I see you."
"I appreciate you."
"Well done."
Too often we wait for someone else to acknowledge our efforts.
Stop waiting.
Celebrate the progress.
Celebrate the growth.
Celebrate the consistency.
Celebrate the fact that you keep showing up even when nobody is watching.
As we begin June, let's make a commitment to do a better job of appreciating ourselves, investing in ourselves, and rewarding ourselves for the hard work we put into this world.
You don't need permission.
You've already earned it.
Now tell me: What's one thing you're going to do for yourself this month?
