As many of you know, my family is an Army family, and it’s time for another PCS move. We will be relocating to North Carolina in September for our next adventure.
While we are excited about this new chapter, it does come with some changes for Wurtz Cookies Ever. As we get closer to the middle of August, I will be temporarily suspending cookie orders as I navigate our move and North Carolina’s regulations regarding home-based food businesses. Unlike Tennessee, North Carolina does not currently have a cottage food law that allows the same type of home bakery operations, so I will need time to explore my options and determine the best path forward.
I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support, encouragement, and trust! Whether you’ve ordered cookies for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, holidays, or just because, you’ve helped make this business something truly special, even for this short period I’ve been taking orders.
I will continue accepting orders for the end of July and into August, so if you’ve been thinking about placing an order before the move, now is the perfect time! I’ll also keep everyone updated as I learn more about what the future holds for Wurtz Cookies Ever in North Carolina.
