Hi friends! If you’re new here I thought it was time to post something about me. I’m Sam! - I’m the cake designer and maker behind the blonde baker. I began by taking the challenge of baking my daughters 1st birthday cake. This was back in Nov 2013 and I absolutely fell in love with cake decorating! Being a young single mom. I strictly made cakes for my daughters birthday, it was something special for her that I could do easily, I’m grew up in Florida and made the trek to Oregon about 8 years ago. Later on after lots of practice Friends and family started asking me to make cakes for them, so I would teach myself to decorate cakes using Pinterest, YouTube and other online sources and honestly just wing it. It was something I was good at and really enjoyed even though the hours and heart it takes to make these tasty works of art maybe be stressful when I get to see my customers faces and when they see what I’ve created makes it all worth it. I’ve got 4 kids now, a full time day job and somehow find a way to create my cakes on the weekend. It’s a passion for me and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Xoxo
