It's Spring!! 🌷 And that means no more hibernation for Gerald!
After a few long months in the fridge, we decided it's time to freshen up our back up batch of starter. 🤍

Did you know - keeping your sourdough starter in the fridge slows down the fermentation process? Because of the colder temperatures, the microbes become less active. Putting your starter in the fridge is a great way to preserve it, without worrying about feeding it everyday!

Every few months, we like to take our discard out of the fridge and feed it for a few days to give it a little reset, and make sure it is still active and healthy. 🤩
