A lot has happened in my life since January 1, 2023. Most of the last three years have been painful with the loss of three especially important people. However, in early 2024, I decided I needed to make some changes. I retired from a career that no longer made me happy. In fact, it was making me miserable. I retired with no plans and zero ideas about what I wanted to do so I truly had nothing BUT trust and faith that God was going to take care of me. It has been such an eye-opening experience for me and one that I have loved. Not only has God provided for me but he has shown me how irrelevant outside negativity truly is. I know my truth and I know my relationship with God therefore what others think or say no longer affect me. God has removed so much self doubt and negativity and continuously shows me how He is directing my steps rather than the opinions of others. He has brought some incredibly important people even closer to me and removed others that are full of negativity (“removing what and who no longer belong”). It has been such a life changer. I am loving my new life, job, and freedom from all the self doubt I allowed others to bring to me. I obviously know that there will still be many more challenging seasons to come, but I also have learned how much the outside noises do not matter. Focusing on God and the truth are what matters. Thank you, God, for all the blessings and freedom you have given me.
