The Button Down

The Button Down A Chicago-based storytelling series where oversharing leads to understanding. http://buttondownstories.com/contact/

Co-founders Dee Fabbricatore and Meredith Stockton are two helplessly codependent hetero-lifemates who often think they're more amusing than they are. The Button Down was born over their shared anxieties, and even more shared cake, as a safe haven for similarly maladjusted people to reveal their innermost neuroses in storytelling form. If you or someone you know would like to tell a story at our n

ext event, simply send us a Facebook message, email us at [email protected], or submit a form on our contact page.

Our dear friends,
You may have been wondering where we've been for the past two months. There's a lot of ways to answer that, but we'll just cut to the chase: our joint seasonal affective disorder is to blame. We've been total button downers.

But! Hope is on the horizon! We're pounding vitamin D and ready to make a triumphant return on Monday, January 6th at Uncharted Books with stories about "celebrities." Mark your calendars for a night of button down magic, and drop us a message if you have a celebrity story you're dying to share.

We really missed you guys. We won't let it happen again, promise.

We spent the past hour preparing something extra special for our event tomorrow at Gorilla Tango Theatre — all we can tell you is that Meredith peed her boxers a bit in the process.

To see the mediocre reveal, come out tomorrow night's "Monsters" show! We hope it goes something like this:

Come listen to our co-founder Meredith tell a story about bathroom buddies tonight, 8pm at The BYOB Story Hour at The Playground Theater. Cross-promotion! Cross-dressing! David Cross! We love all of these things.
