Monticello Wine Trail The wineries on the Monticello Wine Trail have all been inspired by Thomas Jefferson’s vision of winemaking. http://www.monticellowinetrail.com

The Monticello Wine Trail: Over 40 beautiful wineries comprising the largest concentration of wineries in Virginia, all within 30 miles of Charlottesville throughout the Monticello AVA. Come indulge in all the Monticello Wine Trail has to offer with its deep historic significance and lush vineyard views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. All 29 winery members take the greatest pleasure in welcoming visitors from around the world to sample their wines, relax in the bucolic countryside and share their pride in Virginia’s wine-making heritage. With this in mind, we invite you to discover the Birthplace of American Wine.

Our sweet little Crozet is FINALLY getting its flowers, and we love to see it!

Southern Living just gave one of our favorite Blue Ridge towns the spotlight it deserves, and we couldn’t agree more. Mountain views, apple orchards, local shops, great food, and of course, some seriously good Virginia w**e.

We’re especially thrilled to see Monticello W**e Trail members King Family Vineyards , Grace Estate W**ery , Stinson Vineyards , and Fallen Tree Vineyard getting some love!

If you’ve spent any time in Crozet, you know the magic. And if you haven’t? Consider this your invitation.

Thank you to writer Lydia Mansel and Southern Living for showing our little corner of Virginia some love!

Another reason to put the Monticello AVA on your fall travel list🍷🍂👏

Food & W**e just named Barboursville Vineyards one of 12 stunning U.S. vineyards to visit this harvest season, alongside destinations from Napa and Oregon to Washington and New York.

The feature highlights Barboursville’s rolling vineyard views, Italian hospitality, Palladio Restaurant, and the chance to turn a tasting into a full w**e-country weekend with a stay at the 1804 Inn or one of its historic cottages.

We love seeing one of our Monticello W**e Trail members, and the Monticello AVA, getting national attention during one of the most beautiful times of year to visit.

Congratulations, Barboursville Vineyards🥂

Charlottesville + the Monticello AVA made Southern Living’s list of the best girlfriend getaways in Virginia for fall!

W**e country takes center stage, with Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards, King Family Vineyards, and Merrie Mill Farm & Vineyard highlighted as stops worth building a day around. Pasted markdown.md

Fall in the Monticello AVA means harvest, Blue Ridge views, beautiful weather, and 40+ w**eries to explore. Sounds like a pretty good reason to get the group chat going.

Thank you to Southern Living and writer Lydia Mansel for the love!

Consider this your sign to take that fall w**e getaway 🍂😏

The Haphazard Traveler just named Charlottesville and the Monticello W**e Trail one of the top eight fall w**e getaways from Washington, DC, and we couldn’t agree more with the idea of making a whole weekend of it.

Think Blue Ridge Mountain views, Virginia vineyards dressed for fall, incredible local restaurants, and more than 40 w**eries to explore across the Monticello AVA. Start with a tasting at Pippin Hill, King Family, Veritas, or Barboursville, then head into downtown Charlottesville for dinner. And don’t forget to leave time for a few unexpected stops along the way😏

Thank you to Adrienne Barile of The Haphazard Traveler for including our corner of Virginia w**e country!

We didn’t take home Attraction of the Year, but we had a pretty great night representing the Monticello W**e Trail at the VRLTA Ordinary Awards!

We poured Monticello AVA w**es, enjoyed a few caviar bumps, and caught up with friends and fellow hospitality and tourism leaders from across Virginia.

A big congratulations to our friends at Boar’s Head Resort for their Winter Wander experience, and to all of this year’s winners!

We’re grateful to be part of a community that works so hard to make Virginia a place worth visiting. Thank you, VRLTA, for a wonderful evening, and for recognizing the Monticello W**e Trail among this year’s finalists.
