Hi sweet friends!!!!! UPDATE!

It has been quite a while since I’ve have been here or given an update with my bakery but I wanted to pop in say hello and share an update🩷🩷

As of now, my bakery is still closed for orders however I wanted to share my latest accomplishment and blessing the Lord has given me!!🥹 I along with some huge help have curated and launched a baking guide just in time for the busyness of the holiday season👏🏼🎄The Lords hand has been so evident throughout this process, and I pray that it is a blessing to you as well. 14 beautiful recipes to help take the load off of hosting this Thanksgiving and Christmas season!☺️From cookies, to cakes, to pies it covers it all!! I’m going to be very transparent,

This is going to be a long post. But I ask that you please read it through if you read it at all.

As a small business owner the past few months have been extremely exhausting, and mentally hard. Many sleepless nights, restless thoughts, questions etc.

Another small business owner specifically in the baking industry shared her heart and stated that fear, specifically fear of failure comes to their mind when attempting to express how they feel. I haven’t heard anything more true.

Inflation is at an all time high, and as an honest small business owner I want nothing more than to provide you with the best of the best but not have to charge you an arm and a leg for anything. I have shared those exact words with many clients of mine. Starting a business from the ground up is very difficult. Why you might ask? Because with it comes a lot of sacrifice. You lose time with the ones you love because you are working constantly to stay ahead of inflation, but to be honest with working constantly you become exhausted in every way possible. You question “is this even worth it?!” “Should I just quit and throw in the towel?!” But you don’t. You keep pushing. You keep trying. but maintaining the business is harder than ever in the world we live in.

To be honest, my heart just hurts. Not only for my business, but for every other small business owner. Many have messaged me and said that there is a rumor going around that I have closed my bakery. This is NOT true. I have had to hit PAUSE for a little while until God opens the next door for my bakery. I don’t know where that will be or when it will be exactly. But I trust Him wholeheartedly.

To those who have placed orders for this year, please know that I’m not going anywhere, I will bring your orders to completion🤍To everyone who has ordered from me in the past, you have no idea how much you mean to me, or how special you are to Cakes by Abbey.

To all that have inquired, and that continue to inquire I am unable to take any new orders at this time. I am beyond grateful for each of you, and again you have no idea how special you are to Cakes by Abbey.
