I don't use any chemical preservatives in making these. Rather, I keep all the baked treats in a very slow oven for hours to thoroughly dry them. This way they stay fresh as long as possible. I do recommend keeping the treats in the refrigerator or even the freezer for the longest freshness. I ship all orders by Priority Mail that are to an address farther than 20 miles from Charlotte .
