About the Ministry Leader
Angela Reid has served in the community since 1978. She started in the Double Oaks community working from both her home and vehicle. She has provided for homeless and needy families throughout the city. In 2006 she joined the fellowship of Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Church. Soon afterwards the pastor Dr. Dwayne A. Walker, in support of these efforts, allowed for the use of a small closet in the facility to begin a Clothing Ministry. A partnership with the Bread of Life Ministry led by Keith Bradford has helped to expand the ministry focus. On Saturday mornings, many have been blessed spiritually and physically through the two ministries. On Saturdays we put out clothes each Saturday so the Homeless could have clean clothes each week. I taught them about giving back to others. I started putting a giving back jug out for them to put change in. If I forgot the giving back jug they would remind me. We did this each year which we counted up the money and gave them a grand total of $301.58 . We told yhe Homeless about a need of bikes for Christmas for children and they wanted to use the money for bikes. Each year we had a Christmas luncheon party for the Homeless at Little Rock. We brought the bikes out to show them what their pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters and dollars did to help with this cause of helping someone else. For Christmas for the Homeless they got new coats, socks, gloves, hats, bags of snacks, hoodies,and backpacks. Through the outpouring of love from others, the ministry has grown tremendously. In 2010 the clothing ministry was renamed by the Pastor to Heaven’s Store House. On September 7, 2011 The name Heaven's Store House Ministry was renamed; The Storehouse Ministry of Charlotte under Angela Reid. I received my 501(c)(3) on April 7, 2015
