Heading into my radical sabbatical! ♥️
2024 was amazing!
I am so incredibly grateful!
However, I need to step away from socials for 30 days!
Jumping headfirst into self love, quiet reflection, prayer, and meditation. So I can go into 2025 with a healthy mind and body. A healed heart, and intentionality.

BARAAT: A wedding procession for the groom that involves live music and dancing. Though it doesn’t hold any religious significance, it’s performed at almost every wedding to ensure a couple happily enters their marriage with friends and family by their side.

The love. The joy. The opulence.
The deep love the friends and family of have for him and his gorgeous bride was palpable and inspiring!
Manifesting being the Barrat car of the QC!!! Literally added it to my bio! Get into it!

Here’s the story. About a girl. Who said no to the $ and instead, went with her gut instinct.
There have been 2 times in my life where I walked away from this kind of money, because my heart couldn’t reconcile the details.
Here’s what you need to know about me. I will always choose people before my pocketbook. Always.
Money comes and goes. Economies ebb and flow.
How you treat people. Well, that’s your character.
When we sold our family home in Mooresville, we rec’d an offer that was $60,000 above another offer. This was $80k over asking price. Nothing to balk at!
This high dollar offer came from a company. The other offer was $20k above ask and was a family of 5. They had never been able to afford the purchase of a home in their home state of CT. I knew I wanted my home to go to them. I knew that Mom loved my home and saw her children growing up in that house.
I wanted her to have that dream!

I recently received an offer to buy my business and I have been toying with the idea of moving into another season. Some of you I even chatted with, about moving on. The offer was strong. The people seemed fine.
But my gut kept nagging me to sell to someone I know would treat my clients with the utmost of care. And perhaps they would have exceeded my expectations. But my heart wasn’t feeling it!
I worked so hard to create this special business and it’s only been 2.5 years. Y’all love Figgy!
You know I am going to take care of your clients. I know the trust you place in me.
So I declined. And my brain wrestled with this! Truly. It still is!
However, at the end of the day. You have to trust that small voice nudging you, or urging you to pause. Even when it’s hard or painful.
So here’s to trusting ourselves and perhaps taking the road somewhat less traveled.

Our beautiful mountains of Western NC. The touchstone for so many. Our place of solace. Where generations of memories have been made. Where the collective energy is so intensely beautiful, that it humbles you. You feel small, but inexplicably special.
While this storm is gone. The aftermath is not. People are suffering. Some are stuck in the mountains, with no food, water, electricity or cell service. Towns decimated. Roads washed away.
They need us. Don’t go on with your day, without thinking of them.
Now is not the time to act. Consider giving to The American Red Cross. Help any where and any way you can.

Grateful for another trip around the sun!
The past few years of my 50s have been transformative.
I find myself pulled toward deeper connections and a yearning for meaningful experiences.
At 53, I am comfortable standing in my truth.
My heart feels deeper and when you are an empath, there is more at stake.
More of your heart to be bruised and broken.
So I trust my instincts, about people and places and these experiences I long for.
I love deeper.
Feel more.
See clearer.
I also have the resolve to sit with my feelings and hold space for both my heartbreak and my gratitude.
Not a day goes by that I am not profoundly grateful for all that I have and all that I am!
I understand that life is always a thread’s pull away from being unbearably painful, but also, heartbreakingly beautiful.
With age does come grey hair, a changing body, gains and losses.
Lots of goodbyes to the people and places that shaped me.
But, love and loss is part of the story and wisdom is the payoff.
Thank you for being part of my journey.
