Livin' the Crazy Just a gal and her rescues, embracing a crazy life and sharing what we love and learn along the way. Tami heads up the Crazy and owns a pet nutrition business.

In support of the homeless or ailing, we will always be a voice for the voiceless. Livin' the Crazy is a community dedicated to celebrating the "crazy" that occurs in a life dedicated to our furry friends. She also slangs insurance as her full-time side hustle. She has been deeply involved in the rescue community in AZ and will forever have a passion for homeless dogs a

nd cats in need. There are 4 canine & 4 feline rescues (plus a resident feral kitty) that make up our crazy family. Chronologically they are:

- Romeo (15yo); Ragdoll/Siamese
- Juliet (14yo); DMH kitty
- Murphy (8yo); Shihtzu
- Sonny (7yo); Sh*tzu mix
- Aliekat (7yo); Lynx point siamese
- Olivia (7yo); Maltese/Yorkie/Shihtzu mix
- Enzo (6yo); All American 'who knows' mixed up adorable mutt
- Bentley (4mo); Polydactyl gray tabby
- Mama Mercedes (1y'ish); Bentley's Mama, and a feral who stays outside

Our guardian angels, that await us at the Rainbow Bridge, are Daisy (neapolitan mastiff) and Cookie (brown tabby).

Murph was subdued for tippy taps tonight... He had his first acupuncture appointment AND got his Librela shot for good measure. He's always a little low key at the end of that 4wk period (as it wears off) but I'm uber grateful that it continues to work so well for him! Liv was alongside and our ancient Queen is always nearby, just waiting for an opportunity to demand food faster. "FASTER WOMAN, FASTER!!!" 🤷🏽‍♀️

One of the owlets got grounded Wednesday night and spent yesterday in the bush, clacking and puffing at anything that came within 10ft of him (namely Enzo, who was very curious, but uber respectful). Fortunately he was back in the tree before night truly fell and we had no more grounded babies this morning.

The sass is still strong with this old man! He can't remember how doors work these days, but the slightest clang of a frying pan and he turns into Gordon Ramsey. To keep him eating somewhat regularly, I keep bags of various meat patties in the freezer and every night I cook one up for his "topper". It's 💯 certifiable, but it's working. What Murphy wants, Murphy absolutely gets! 🤷🏽‍♀️

With all the Enzo drama the last couple of days, sweet Bentley Boy's SIXTH birthday almost snuck by me. Even after all this time, we're more friendly'ish roommates than family, but slowwwwly but surely he makes minute progress. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Happy Birthday Bentley! (and his brothers/sister)

We're 4wks in to trying to heal up an ivdd flare (bulging disk in neck), and while we SHOULD be doing absolute crate rest, it's Enzo, and he has acute separation anxiety soooo, we're doing the best we can. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I increased his trazadone doses again today and it seems to be helping him settle a bit more. We have at least another 4wks of this, if not six. Senior pups are not for the weak hearted. 😩 Tell me when we start having fun!

Would it really be too much to ask to have a week without a vet visit?? Senior pup 💩 problems. How a dog can swing from one extreme to the other in three weeks time (requiring vet visits for both) is truly mind boggling. I challenge you to find a more difficult dog.... Wouldn't trade him for the world but Holy Hell. 😖😖😖
