Dragon Boat Festival Tradition

One of my favorite traditions each year is making Zongzi (粽子) with my mother-in-law and my daughter.
My daughter and I have been joining grandma the past few years to wrap Zongzi together and to learn the techniques that have been passed down through generations. ❤️
From preparing the fillings to folding the bamboo leaves and tying each dumpling by hand, every step takes time, patience, and practice.
More than the food itself, it's about preserving family traditions and sharing them with the next generation.

Testing a new gourmet cookie flavor 🍪✨️

Chocolate chip cookies with Trader Joe's roasted and salted truffle Marcona almonds.

I tested a few different bake temperatures and times to compare texture, spread and softness - all of them turned out with crisp edges and soft centers, but each bake had a slightly different finish.

The truffles Marcona almonds add a buttery, savory richness to the cookies. Definitely passed my taste test 😋
