🎂 FOUR YEARS. ONE YEAR. SO MANY PEOPLE TO THANK. 🥹❤️
This September marks 4 years of running this little baking business… and 1 full year of having our farm stand open!
Four years ago, I took a leap on something that started with a simple love for baking and creating.
About five years ago, I asked for a cake decorating kit for Christmas. I had always loved baking, but that gift opened up a whole new world for me. I spent countless hours baking cakes, decorating them, learning, experimenting, and trying again.
And when I say trying again… I mean it. 😂
Those first cakes were horrific. Thank goodness for YouTube tutorials and Facebook cake decorating groups, because without them, I’m not sure where I’d be today!
Eventually, I started thinking, “Maybe I could actually make something out of this.”
So I took another leap and signed up for my very first vendor event.
I was a MESS. 😂
Picture it: a Walmart slanted-leg blue tent, paper tablecloths from Dollar General, a very small product selection, and a makeup bag being used as a change purse.
But you know what I did have?
A genuine love for meeting people. A love for creating. And a love for showing people that I care through food.
Feeding people is my love language. ❤️
Whether it’s a random stranger who stops by our booth, a loyal customer who has been with us from the beginning, or the wonderful people I’m lucky enough to call family — getting to share something I’ve created with you is something I’ll never take for granted.
And look how far we’ve come.
From being an absolute nobody in little ol’ Cedarville… to building a business with an amazing following, having custom orders coming in almost daily, opening a farm stand filled with so many of our favorite things, and — perhaps most importantly — being surrounded by an incredible community that continues to show up for us.
We are so incredibly thankful.
So after four years, and with so many new faces joining us along the way, I figured it was time for an updated thank-you post… and maybe it’s time to let you in on the next vision. 👀
🚚 THE NEXT BIG DREAM: A FOOD TRUCK
Our hope is to purchase the base of a food truck within the next 2–3 months, spend the winter transforming it into something amazing, and hopefully hit the road next spring ready to serve our community in a whole new way!
Why a food truck?
Our cottage baking business has allowed us to grow in ways I never imagined, but there are limitations to what we can offer and where we can serve from a home-based kitchen.
A food truck would give us the opportunity to:
✨ Bring our business directly to more communities and events
✨ Serve freshly baked items on-site
✨ Expand our menu beyond what we can offer from a cottage kitchen
✨ Create more spontaneous, walk-up experiences
✨ Potentially offer items that simply aren’t practical from our current setup
✨ Continue growing without losing the personal, community-focused feel that got us here
And the ideas are already running WILD. 😂
Imagine stopping by the truck and getting a cookie that is still warm from the oven. 🍪🔥
Maybe soft-serve ice cream. 🍦
And then putting one of our cookies, brownies, cheesecake pieces, or cake creations right on top of it?!
I mean… come on. 😂
We have endless ideas, and we’re so excited about the possibilities.
Eventually, we would absolutely love to have a storefront of our own.
But for right now?
We’re dreaming about four wheels instead of four walls. 🚚❤️
And here’s the honest part:
Since day one, my wonderful family has helped me at events, behind the scenes, during late nights, early mornings, and everything in between. Not one of us has ever taken a paycheck from this business.
Every penny has gone right back into building it.
We’ve done that intentionally because we believe in what this can become.
So as we head into the final events of the year, we’re simply asking you to keep doing what you’ve already done so well — supporting us.

Every order, every share, every referral, every person who stops at our booth — it all matters.
Over the years, we’ve been incredibly blessed to give back to the community that has supported us. We’ve donated to school bake sales, sports team fundraisers, dog rescues and shelters, raffle baskets and door prizes. We’ve also quietly provided products to loyal customers when we knew they were having a difficult time.
That part of this business means just as much to us as the baking itself.
We want to keep growing with our community, not just in our community.
So here’s to four years of learning, baking, creating, laughing, scrambling, dreaming, and somehow figuring it all out along the way.
And here’s to whatever comes next. ❤️
