You’ve likely had a chocolate crinkle cookie during the holidays, but have you ever tried the citrusy sister variety? Me either, until sampling one at a local coffee shop. (By sampling I mean eating most of it…😬).

👩🏻‍🍳 Slightly crispy, yet also chewy with just the right amount of fresh lemon flavor and a dusting of powdered sugar, these pretty ladies are a perfect treat in the August heat.

👩🏻‍🍳 It’s hot, and it’s campfire season. It’s been a minute since I’ve sat at a fire but these dessert bars? I can get behind these.

Your classic milk chocolate and marshmallow crème combo is sandwiched between two layers of buttery graham cookie crust, with a layer of peanut butter thrown in to really make it a party. 🍫

After 18 months of winter we’re craving all the summery things here. My mom used to make strawberry shortcake (you know, the kind with Bisquick biscuits) with homemade whipped cream, so I’m trying to channel that with this buttery cookie base loaded with fresh strawberries and strawberry preserves, topped with a buttery streusel crumb.

👩🏻‍🍳Hi friends! Yesterday was LFB Savory Saturday here.

One of our dear friends recently had a major shoulder surgery, so we made our version of meals on wheels complete with homemade pasta, arrabbiata sauce with Italian sausage, and a garlic rosemary focaccia bread. 🍝

I’m pretty sure carbs and garlic (and a nice red 🍷) would cure any ailment, but maybe that’s just me…?

That’s right, it’s LFB CV: Nostalgia Edition!

My good friend Susie (I’m not speaking in the third person, we actually share the same name) is back in town for the weekend and will be joining us for some good old fashioned LFB fun. We met in high school, where our math teacher Mr. Armstrong would make these awesome monster cookies for an occasional treat.

Fun fact: I ended up working with Mr. Armstrong in my actual job in recent years, and he would still bring his infamous cookies to work. However I could never bring myself to call him by his first name like a real adult. 😝 He was kind enough to share his recipe, so hopefully I can do them justice!

LFB Fam Edition: Last weekend we celebrated my parents’ 56th wedding anniversary, complete with a glammed up boxed yellow cake and homemade chocolate buttercream.

I asked my mom if she could believe they had been married for 56 years and she said “Yes.” 🤔 Then I asked “Does it seem like longer than 56 years?” to which she also replied “Yes”. 🤭

These two have had their share of health trials in recent years, but through it all they remain a true testament of love and commitment. ❤️

With it being Mother’s Day weekend and somewhat decent weather tomorrow, I was feeling fruity (more than normal?) so remembered these lovelies we shared last year on the cart. Full of both white chocolate chunks and fresh raspberries, these are sure to please!
