WCB Winter Clinic in Amarillo Texas @ Well-Shod.com headquarters 😎

The 2027 Winter Clinic is in Amarillo, Texas @ Well Shod Farrier Supply, January 14th through the 16th! Why you might ask? Because it is affordable! Plenty of AirBnB's around, hotels fighting for your business, lots of great places to eat. The one thing we are all about is when you are just getting started you are not rich! Do a little truck camping and jet boil with ramen noodles. The reason a lot of get togethers are in the armpit of the world is because everybody who doesn't make a living shoeing horses needs you to book a room so they can stay in their room for free. I have found that $20 dollar beers taste just like an $8 dollar six-pack.
The 2027 Winter Clinic will be in your face, hands on as it gets, all day every day! If you want to see something done chances are you go sifting through the crowd and hunt down someone that will show you that. If you want to put your name on a sign up sheet so you can have an instructor show you a trick while a Fire Marshall makes sure you have your OSHA gear on, stay away from this event. it's not for you!
One of our many Speakers will be Chris Madrid, from Stanley, New Mexico. 5 time National Champion. Ambassador for the WCB. Great Tool Maker! Great Farrier! Great Family Man! He will make you think! He will Motivate You! and you will leave with a whole new perspective on our trade!
All you need to attend the 2027 Winter Clinic is be a member! If you don't want to be a WCB member and still come you can pay $253.15 and we won't make you a member, and you don't have to worry about being on any government list and Blackhawks circling your house.

Pass or fail ?

This is the score sheet for the CF shoe display.

You have all the time in the world to make these shoes and bring them to the test. Question is, are you making them correct and to passing standards to begin with? A lot of time and effort goes into this part, knowing that you are al least going in the right direction is invaluable. 

Certification instructors will show you exactly how each modification needs to be done to pass. As the saying goes…
“ pay now or pay later “.

This is one of the reasons why Per- Certification Clinic’s exist , spend the time learning to do it correctly from the beginning, and your chances of success are greatly improved.

I’m thrilled to be joining the American Farriers Association as your new Communications Admin!

I’ll be your go-to for membership questions, benefits, and chapter support, while also helping bring AFA’s social media and content to life.

A little about me—I’m a lifelong horse owner, Sweet Briar College ’23 graduate, and have experience working both alongside farriers in the barn and behind the scenes in equine office settings. Now, I’m lucky to call the heart of the Bluegrass home with my husband, three dogs, and two horses!
