“We’re opening our doors every Saturday in May starting the 17th — 9 to 3. The café isn’t finished, but the food is ready and so are we. Come eat, pre-order the cookbook, and help us get there.

There’s always a bit of shame that tries to attach itself to an entrepreneur when things don’t go the way they planned — when the pivot has to happen, when the doors have to close. But I need you to hear me clearly:
Do not fall into that trap.
Guilt, shame, embarrassment — do not let those things take root in your spirit. A closed chapter is not a character flaw. It is not a reflection of your worth, your intelligence, or your calling. Some things work. Some things don’t. That is not a moral failing — that is simply the nature of business.
If you close one thing and feel led to open something else, make that pivot without apology. Redirect. Reimagine. Start again. But do not carry shame into your next season like it belongs there — because it doesn’t.
And yes, people will talk. They always do. But that noise fades. What won’t fade is the damage done to your peace, your health, and your family if you stay in something too long just to avoid what someone might say.
Your life is worth more than other people’s opinions of how you lived it.
Don’t let shame write the ending to a story that still has pages left.
